THE FUTURE
PLUG-IN HYBRID CONCEPT
The refuse mechanism is powered by an independent E-PTO comprising a battery pack, electric motor, hydraulic pump and a smart electronic control system. The battery pack is dimensioned to provide enough energy for a fully-day operation and is then recharged overnight, ready for the next day.
Operating silently and with zero CO2 emissions, the E-PTO reduces energy consumed by on-board hydraulics by up to 50%. For a typical refuse vehicle this means a saving of 15-20 liters of diesel per day.
FULLY ELECTRIC CONCEPT
The refuse mechanism is powered by the chassis E-PTO. Full battery-electric vehicles are now available from several brands, having a range and battery capacity to support refuse collection, and most of them fitted with an optimized PTO to provide the hydraulic pressure and flow necessary to power the refuse mechanism.
But even if the chassis is not fitted with a PTO, we mount on the refuse mechanism an integrated PTO system, to bring best-in-class solutions that work in combination with any OEM electric chassis.
